Pandemic gloom. Bankrupt companies. Closed and empty performance spaces. We live here. We know you are out there too! We decided to do something unexpected, provocative and take a big swing – we bought some of the inventory at Kitcheners’ Registry theatre, the home of so many local indie artists, and reached out to the talented artists, performers and presenters we know. We bought 17 dates from October 2023-June 2024. The Result? The Buzzie Indie Series. The Buzzies are a curated indie look at the best of what’s happening in new performance, comedy, cabaret, music, fashion, design and interactive art. All sessions happen/occur/pop-up early in the week to get your senses buzzing with creative possibility and just darn fun. All sessions are priced at $15-$20 which is less than the price of a beer and nibble. Here’s where you come in: Come on out! We invite you to feed your brain, wake up your senses, let the creativity and inspiration get you buzzing. And show this town that we want to come out for events that are fresh, fun and unexpected.
